Overview
About Me
I'm Vanessa, aged 20, I'm half enlglish, half Italian.
I live in England, Kent to be precise.
My passion is traveling, when people say ' what do you want to do for a career?' I say I'm not sure, all I know is that I want to travel. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures to my own. Adventures are the best way to learn.
I like to keep fit by running, swimming, cycling and exercise classes, like Zumba! I enjoy reading, movies, playing cards and going out drinking with friends, to name just a few.
I love cats. I love their weirdness and stubbornness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couchsurfing is a great way to see the world and meet new people easily, whilst on a budget.
It also allows you to truly get a feel for the culture of the place your staying, hotels and hostels can be boring sometimes!
I'm on couchsurfing because it's awesome!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love almost all kinds of music! Some of my favorite music artists are: Laura Marling, Foals, Frank Turner, Lily Allen, Artic Monkeys, Crystal Fighters, Beyoncé, The Maccabees, She and Him.
Movies there's just too many to list. I love TV shows too, the O.C, American horror story, Homeland, Gossip Girl, how I met your mother, friends and Skins are a few of my favourites.
My top 3 books are Looking for Alaska my John Green, The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett and World Without End by Ken Follett. I've also recently enjoyed reading I am pilgrim by Terry Hayes, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and One day by David Nicholls.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last September I moved to Rome for 3 months, where I au paired for an Italian family. I lived with the family and looked after the children, teaching them English.
I met amazing people whilst living in Rome and made friends for life. The memories and experience I gained from my time in Rome are priceless. I wouldn't change it for the world and would do it 1000 times over.
Teach, Learn, Share
We could teach each other our native languages, we could share some of our local cuisine, I can make a mean English breakfast or a delicious, traditional Sunday roast.
I'd love to learn Italian, but am open and happy to learn any languages! Even if it's just hello!
