Hey there! I'm your typical polite Canadian named Vanessa who's still trying to find her place on this big rotating globe. I'm a passionate person, a dreamer, performer and old soul. I like to think I'm very down to earth, friendly, honest and kind who is maybe a bit too much of an over-thinker. Depending on my mood, I can be outgoing and extraverted, I love spending time with a different types of people sharing stories and laughs. Other times I prefer my own company, with a good book or exploring new sights and sounds. Nature is my escape and my inspiration. I think I would spend my life outdoors if I didn't love certain luxuries that come with living under a roof (plus a hatred of the cold). I’m still figuring it out, but I’m planning to spend my life singing, dancing, laughing, loving, feeling, creating, connecting and doing exactly what I want, hopefully inspiring others to do the same along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to live life, not just let life happen to me. I want to explore the world, experience different ways of living, meet interesting people, go on adventures, fall in love and see the beauty of our planet. I think it's amazing that something like couch surfing exists for people like me who realize the importance of travel but are perhaps a little short on cash, who also love meeting new people and want to experience a city from a local's point of view, rather than what a travel book tells me I should do.
