I'm Vanessa and I'm originally from Canada, but have spend the last 3 plus years galavanting the globe haha
The last number of years have been an amazing adventure and I've got to see some beautiful places, make amazing friendships and learn a tonne abut this crazy world we live in. I love an adventure and am always seeking out opportunities to delve myself further into other cultures and explore new areas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a really amazing way of connecting people from all over the world and giving people an amazing opportunity to learn from each other. It gives travellers an opportunity to meet locals and really indulge in the local culture and way of life, and gives the locals a way to meet others from abroad and learn about their cultures and traditions in exchange.

Interests

I love travelling and couldn't imagine a life without it! Aside from travel I love to read, play my ukulele, go camping, hiking, ski/snowboard, or just hang out with my friends and have a beer :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading non fiction, biographies and travel writing. Some of my favourites i've read recently include shantaram, in my skin, and generally anything bill Bryson.

Some of my favourite movies include classics like walk the line and blow, as well as anything that'll give me a good laugh

I love all kinds of music, everything from drum & bass, jungle, techno, indie, rock, psytrance, country, to house.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever done is travel. I left Canada May 2013 and haven't looked back since. Over the last years I've travelled across oceans, continents and countries and indulged myself in difference cultures and ways of life. I've seen some amazing places and made amazing friendships. The journey I've been on has been an absolutely amazing experience and I can't wait to see what it holds next.
