About Me

Hi! I'm Vanessa :) a Venezuelan girl studying in Chile and (hopefully soon) a Translator and Interpreter. I can be shy, but also friendly, and if I feel at ease, I will never stop talking (so sorry, in advance).

I enjoy reading, traveling, swimming and cooking, and then eating what I've cooked, or what others have cooked, as long as it's been made to eat it, I'm not picky. I also like Netflix, chocolate and the snow.

What I don't like is to do these "introduce yourself" things, so I'm going to stop now, I hope that was enough, lol.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I like interacting with people from different countries and I believe doing that is more important than ever right now. I'd also like to travel a bit more this year and this seemed like the place to be to meet people from the region.

Music, Movies, and Books

I would never be able to pick just one, so I'm going to say that right now I'm listening to The National. I haven't seen a movie in some days, but I'm watching Money Heist (that sounds weird, I'm watching it in Spanish, so, La Casa de Papel), and I'm reading Perfume, by Patrick Süskind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went swimming with dolphins in Mexico and I loved it, I've always wanted to do that again!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn about the area where you live, your language and culture, and if you play the guitar and want to teach me, that would be awesome! I'd be happy to share what I know or what I've experienced living in Chile and Venezuela, or studying languages at University.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some South American recipes, help with languages, with chores, my company (which might not be much, but is all I have, lol) and, of course, you can stay with me if you ever visit my hometown!
