CURRENT MISSION

I have a trip planned to Mexico and South America starting in November, for 4 months. My mission is to find some interesting places to visit and people to be with.

ABOUT ME

I imagine my friends would call me caring and fun loving.

I'm about to start an adventure around Mexico and South America for 4 months, I've taken 4 months off work and am busy packing my bags!

I have a full time job as a careers adviser working with adults and spend my days helping people make decisions about their futures. I enjoy salsa dancing and much of my free time is spent dancing and enjoying the company of other salsa junkies! I appreciate the outdoors and have walked up all the mountains in Snowdonia and many of the North Wales and Anglesey coastal paths. Travelling is a huge passion of mine which probably goes without saying on this website. I love meeting people from anywhere in the world and want to make anyone visiting my town feel welcome.

I live in Caernarfon with my children, who are all in their 20's and well travelled themselves. We all work and have busy lives. I would be happy to help anyone wanting some local information and a bed for the night (or two). I can offer a convenient location and a safe and welcoming place for you to stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can provide a relaxed and informal home for a night or two for travellers passing through Caernarfon. I know a lot about the local area and can help with places to see and things to do.

I am about to experience being a surfer too! and really looking forward to meeting some local people and fellow travellers on my journey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The couch surfers who have walked through my door have enriched my life, sharing their stories, experiences and outlook on life. Wonderful... I hope I have made their experience of Caernarfon a good one too! :)xx

I have had some wonderful times with couch surfers in Mexico City, Lima and Cusco. I have really appreciated staying with locals and getting to know these places with people who really love their cities.

Interests

I really enjoy meeting people and understanding different cultures. I love dancing and in particular- salsa. Visiting new places and experiencing local traditions. Talking to people and sharing ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking part of the Great Wall of China in the snow. Diving with the Great White sharks in Cape Town. Taking school equipment to a rural primary school in Busura, Gambia and being thanked by the whole village with a day long celebration of dance, food & speeches.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught a few things in my time(swimming, cookery)but would prefer not to teach really. I would like to learn Spanish. I can share my home, knowledge of my locality and experiences.
