I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Service Design at Linköping University in Sweden. While that sounds quite academic, I'm fairly easygoing, friendly and quite an extrovert but also enjoy occasional solitude. I usually get along well with others. I've taken up the Fika culture like a duck takes to water and it is not helping my coffee addiction. Food also makes me very happy :)

I absolutely LOVE the sea (actually any water body would do the trick)!! This is probably one of the things I miss the most about home. The wind in my hair, the sun kissing my face, the water tickling my toes, that feeling of complete and utter bliss!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CS when I moved to the Netherlands to do my Masters. The intention was to travel around Europe and meet new people and experience their cultures. But life had other plans. I met a bunch of great people during my time there and travelled around with them instead.

Now that I've moved to Sweden I've decided to give it another shot while I explore the Nordics and the Baltic regions. I think spending time with those from the region can be an enriching experience. Plus, they know where all the awesome, non-touristy, not-to-be missed places are!

At the moment I don't have an apartment of my own so it's a bit difficult to host people but I hope to remedy that soon.

Interests

Since moving to Sweden, ice hockey has caught my fancy. Couple of things on my 'learn to do' list: snowboarding, skiing, ice-skating and surfing.

I enjoy dancing and going for walks/treks. I love to read, but these days it's more for my PhD and less for leisure. I have recently been introduced to graphic novels a.k.a. comics and I'm completely hooked!
