About Me

UPDATE: AS AT 20TH SEPTEMBER 2016, I AM OUT OF SOUTH AFRICA FOR A SOJOURN OF THE HEART, MIND AND SOUL - A GREATLY NEEDED JOURNEY! I used to be verified, but then stopped my membership for a while, and on rejoining see that to verify again is ridiculously expensive. Please check references for verification instead :)

I love to travel, meet new people, and experience life in all of it's nuances. Originally from the Cape, I have been living in Johannesburg since 1998.

I enjoy taking breaks in the Magaliesburg Mountains, swimming in the ocean, being in nature, and drinking tall glasses of beautiful water, with ice and lemon.

I live in a 3 bedroom home, with my very delightful, serene cat, Shanti, and my Mom, who came to live with me in late February 2016. It is so lovely having her here, and we are extremely blessed and appreciative of our beautiful and peaceful garden - a tranquil space.

I joined Couchsurfing late in 2014, and hosted my first guests in February 2015-what a fantastic experience :), and it has been amazing ever since. Mom too loves couchsurfers, and together we have hosted THE most incredible people - LOVE IT!!!!

Thank you, couchsurfing, for this wonderful concept of bringing people together from all over the world. What an incredible gift!!!

Thank you, amazing people from all over the world :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is a wonderful way to meet new people, and to allow for more connection with those from around the world.

Interests

I love:
dancing, reading, British movies filled with humour (such as Fawlty Towers with John Cleese, NOT Mr Bean!), swimming in the ocean, following my path - a path that teaches tolerance, responsibility, awareness, love, that we are all connected, and striving always for spiritual progress in this world, no matter the adversities, meeting with friends and family for a meal, good conversation, spending time with special people
