About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get comfortable with life's uncertainties
ABOUT ME
Refrigerator, pebbles, titanium, elbow; a few random words to take the edge off the weight of the first words in this description. How the heck do you start these things anyway?
I've just finished my degree, and am going into a Master's research for the fall. I am essentially a wacky, curious lover of science, and I love learning and teaching. If I were to describe my personality as others tend to find it, I'd say that I'm animated, rather energetic, and passionate about my interests and the people I care about. I'm easygoing and just like to share a good laugh.
I'm new to the CS community and am open to meeting new people, encountering new realities and ways of life, and to exchanging insights, philosphical, gastronomical, intellectual, humoristic, about travel - anything at all. I'd say I'm just up for spontaneous plans in general.
PHILOSOPHY
Learning to be okay with not 'having a plan', with uncertainty in life's events, and not depending on stability (easier said than done...). Being able to change your view in any context to see the glass half-full, is really precious.
Meditation is amazing, recently discovered its properties.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For the moment I don't have a couch available, but am really looking forward to hosting travellers when I do!
I would love to show travellers around Montreal, to make them discover all the artsy nooks and crannies in this wonderful cultural city.
I'm still feeling my way around CS and am constantly discovering all these new ways in which people interact and help each other out. I'm looking forward to getting more into the community!

Paolo Coelho
Some scientific non-Fiction (Musicophilia, and Hallucinations, by Oliver Sacks, for instance) I can recommend some fantastic reads for everyone and anyone.
On The Road - Jack Kerouac.
The Unbearable Lightness of Being - Milan Kundera. Every time I read this, I understand something new about life.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - Jonathan Safran Foer - a fantastic read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed to the top of Mt Washington in a crazy hailstorm
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm fully bilingual (French and English), so I can help someone practise either :P
I can share knowledge about Psychology, Neuroscience, the brain in general. There is some crazy interesting stuff to learn, and it can all be made easy to understand for anyone who isn't normally in science :).
I'd love to learn cooking of foreign cuisines - Anything asian, southeast or other, persian, African... anything. Food is awesome.
