To travel from London to Australia, with my boyfriend, on our motorbike!

ABOUT ME

I have lived out of Australia for the past 10 years - Australia is great but there are so many amazing places to see and people to meet so for now Australia is where I go to holiday and see family (by the way, I was raised in a household with 6 kids so learnt to queue for the bathroom from an early age). I started a world trip with my boyfriend almost 1 year ago. We are riding our motorbike from London to Australia. It has been such an awesome experience so far and a highlight for is staying in the homes of local people - it really adds to the whole travel experience. We come as a pair, myself and Glenn. We enjoy a good night out but likewise don't mind chilling at home. Kids are great, indoor pets not so much as I am allergic. Glenn is quite handy and I like volunteering him for jobs around people's homes. We are good fun and great house guests!

Being welcomed into so many homes definitely makes me want to repay the favour so I cant wait to welcome couchsurfers when I am settled. Until then, spare room anyone?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have been invited into so many homes, flats, gers, yurts and tents while traveling and we have loved each and every experience. We have stayed in remote areas and find that a gift of food is always appreciated - particularly treats like honey and chocolate!

Interests

Number 1 has to be travel (closely followed by food). I also love film, keeping fit (though that is a little difficult on the road, particularly with my love for food) and meeting new people. I also have a new love for elephants since traveling in India - is that a strange interest?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching all types of film - I have worked at film festivals for many years - and if you agree with the following we will get along great: Matrix is awesome, Matrix sequels should never have been made. Musical interest is open and varied, just dont play me Bob Marley! Books, we dont have space in our motorbike panniers but every now and then I like to browse the books left behind in hostels - always something great to read, provided its not in German.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Washed elephants in India! They are so big and seem so docile but are actually quite clever and when you wash them they are so calm and gentle - it is incredible!
