About Me
CURRENT MISSION
wake up every morning with a zsa zsa zsu feeling in my stomach saying 'i'm in the exact place where i want to be'
ABOUT ME
i have some dreams, they are clouds in my coffee...
but i love my coffee and i take it very seriously!
by the end of my studies i had had a fairly promising career, had a travel business in Poland, worked in HR multinational, taught at school, found the dream job as event manager, collaborated with some amazing artists and put together a bunch of great concerts and fashion shows... and then i moved to New York.
yeah, everybody has this one life changing milestone in their lives, right? they say 'you can take me out of new york, but you can't take new york out of me'... and i mean it with all my heart - it's not the traffic, or the pollution, or the money - it's the people, the arts, the opportunities, the skyline at night, lying on a grass in central park with a good book you bought in thrift store for 1 dollar, the museums (ooooh, the museums!), the crazy stories, gallons of bad coffee and mixed drinks you drink with inspiring people from all over the world - as a psychology graduate i am clearly a people person - who help you redefine who you are and who you want to become.
so i figured... i'm young enough to continue the self-redefining journey and move around the world a bit. and i can't wait to see these places and meet these people who will maybe change me, yet again.
i live in london now, and what can i say... so far, so good :)
PHILOSOPHY
stop looking for love. start doing things you love and love will come by itself.
...and i kind of believe in anything woody allen ever wrote or said

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
if it wasn't for couchsurfing my moving to london wouldn't have been that smooth and convenient!! also, i've couchsurfed around italy and helped out some couchsurfers in my home town, krakow, poland.
Interests
psycholinguistics. languages. music (alternative, jazz and electronic) - and i love going to concerts! modern art and design (fashion included). colourful cocktails. modern architecture. water (it sounds strange but it just sort of calms me down. i love swimming and i adore staring at the sea)
lately i've also taken up yoga and it's been great.
oh, and i love walking. and i genuinely adore sightseeing. just let me wander around pretty new places and i'll be fine!

Music, Movies, and Books
movies: 95% of the ones by woody allen, 75% of the ones by pedro almodovar + classics like 'some like it hot', ambitious ones like 'the life of others', heart-braking ones like 'blue valentine' or 'closer'... and i love documentaries.
music: http://www.last.fm/user/bitter_wine
books: i fell for haruki murakami some time ago and i'm pretty loyal. but i love bulhakov, hrabal, coetzee...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i've never rescued a drowning child or helped build a school...
but i've co-created a huge social travel network travelnity.com
i've done some major research in psycholinguistics (advantages of bilingualism in mental conceptualisations) and IoP and positive psychology (well-being, work-life conflict and adult attachment).
...and, hey, i'd always considered myself rather alternative or 'hipster' :P but i didn't say 'no' to my best friend when she asked me to karaoke to taylor swift with her in new york, it was great and we ROCKED!
Teach, Learn, Share
i'd love to share all i know and all i enjoy and all i care for. and vice versa.
