ABOUT ME

My names is Vanessa, friends often call me VanPan this is also my artist name. I have main four passions in life: Anything in the arts (music, dance, theater, painting, photography etc), people and their cultures (hence the love for traveling), nature and movement (rock climbing, rollerblading), and food, love food. I'm friendly, passionate and easy going. I'm a singer songwriter and have 2 albums out under VanPan Music (spotify, youtube, itunes etc).

PHILOSOPHY

Keep a critical but open mind and live consciously, mindfully. Have a decent sense of humor too.

Oh dear this list will be long on music side. Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Nat King Cole, Benny Goodman, Radiohead, Neutral Milk Hotel, Iron and Wine, Death Cab for Cutie, Jaymay, Mirah, The old Strokes, alt j, Louis the Child, K. Flay etc... Movies: Most recent 10,000 km, but previously Amelie, Science of Sleep, Tampopo, Totoro!!! (Anything Miyasaki really) waking life, roger and hammerstein musicals, anything with fred astaire in it, lots of movies.
Books: Power of Habit, When China Rules the World, The Fountainhead (many judge and no I'm not a post neo conservative, but found the book very interesting), the lovely bones, kissing doornobs, white noise, skinny legs and all by Tom Robbins, Malcolm Gladwell's what the dog saw, blink and outliers.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything music -guitar, uke, drums, theory, sound production, piano, songwriting, I'm interested in all of it and love to talk and share with those that enjoy anything with music. Massage (I'm certified in Swedish deep tissue and Thai). Rock climbing. French. Chinese. Spanish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I share my music knowledge when it comes to guitar, uke, music production, songwriting, singing. I can do intro lesson in French, Spanish, Chinese or massage. Or teach about business development and effective sales and behavioral change. I can also cook a decent edible meal. ;-)
