About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To help and encourage others to experience the joy of travel as I have been lucky enough to know it.

ABOUT ME

I'm quickly beginning to understand why people become ski bums. I just moved to the wonderful resort town of Big Sky, Montana and already I am guilty of being one of those people who came for a season and are staying for much more. I love snowboarding! I am just starting to really get it, but once you do, there is nothing like it in the world. I want to spend as much time as possible on the mountain getting faster and trying new things.

Also, I've decided now is the time to pursue my love and photography and writing. I'm going to spend the next year and a half (I'm planning on starting graduate school in Oct. 2011) putting all my efforts and energy into that. Big Sky is definitely the perfect backdrop for a photographer.

As for the rest, I am just like everyone else trying to figure life out. Sometimes learning from past mistakes other times not, but always trying to make the most of life.

PHILOSOPHY

To love yourself, love the people around you (all of them), and try to always contribute positively to the world!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here to connect with the people who know and love CS, those who've never heard of it and those in between. I think CS is in my best American AWESOME. I want to help out other travelers or locals when I can and meet up with as many others when I'm out on the road myself. What we have with CS is something special and I want to keep that alive.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best CS experiences were the random ones, where maybe I didn't even plan on surfing but somehow found a place to stay proffered. I look forward to even more random experiences as I get braver in my travel experiences.

Interests

Encouraging more American's to go abroad, starting a gap year movement in the U.S., writing, cooking, running, being outside, seeing as much of the world as possible, exploring the many facets of this crazy place i currently live in (LA)
