Overview
About Me
I am a graduate in Masters in Civil Engineering for Risk Mitigation in Politecnico Di Milano. Currently working as a transport consultant trying to promote sustainability above all. I'm born and brought up in Mumbai (the commercial capital of INDIA). I'm an extrovert who loves to bond with new people and make new friends. An enthusiast by nature, I believe in enjoying life more than worrying about it. With immense interest in traveling, I'm always keen on planning short trips in my leisure time. I am a flexible person and can adapt to changing situations without much effort. Basically, not fussy about things and open to suggestions of any kind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've grown up in India , so i have come across a whole lotta number of cultures that are different among themselves. So different, that you have to live it to experience it. I've met so many different kinds of Indians and because of this I'm always intrigued about the different cultures in the world. I've travelled in India but couchsurfing is not a prevalent thing there so never got an opportunity to experience something like this. So , basically I'm into meeting new people, learning different cultures , eating different cuisines and i don't think there is any other platform better than couchsurfing to experience all of this in a nutshell. After living in Europe , where traveling is inevitable, couchsurfing has also become a need to save money on accommodation , which is a secondary reason to find hosts while traveling. Primary reason being the experience of a new culture when you're hosted by a native of that place. I really get attached to the places i visit, so it becomes my primary goal to show the other person that place through my eyes(i love being a travelling guide) .And thats what i am in search for, i am looking forward to explore places through the eyes of a native. Nothing beats that experience.
Interests
Well, I'm really fond of reading, writing and photography. Its my desire to improve through short getaways and short travels. I love outdoor sports but that too has been on a hiatus due to investment of time in studies, etc. Music is something that i cannot imagine a life without. I am open to almost all forms of music and I appreicate it. I love clicking photos, not a professional though but yes its a hobby that I love. You can check my Instagram (visionvardhman or you can just type my name) if you would like to get a sneak peek. I love trekking so if you're up for it , then let's go.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- I love listening to all genres of music. It all depends on the mood, the weather, the company etc etc. I love psychedelic music. Psychedelic trance as well as Psychedelic or progressive rock. I'm also fond of listening to really slow and soothing instrumental and technical music and even some rock instrumental tunes of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. I am particularly in love with contemporary music involving piano, keyboards and all the more better if you have a full orchestra like the unbelievable Yanni. I'm open to and appreciate all kinds of music.
Movies- I'm mainly into movies from the 1970-1990 era. The Gangsta Movies. They are so realistic and most of them were actually based on true stories. Al Pacino and De Niro fascinate me to the core. I admire and follow the works of Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch. Lots and lots tv series and documentaries under my belt.
Books- I used to read a lot of books but really short of time now to continue that habit, but still no excuse. My favorite book is Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. I find it extremely interesting to read books by Sigmund Freud and have read three of them.
Teach, Learn, Share
Since I live in Europe where English is not a preferred language I can try to impart my English speaking skills to my hosts or to whom i host. I love showing people around the city and I'm pretty sure everyone enjoys my company. We can share each others culture, few basic words in each others language and most importantly , talk about LIFE in general.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, we can share each others culture, understand the history of the respective nation. Talk about religion and life. We can share each others cuisine since most of us here are all fond of good food. And every food is good in its own way. Most importantly, i can share my house with you.
