About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm traveling and living around the world to learn about the land and how I can cooperate with nature while having fun and making living. I'll write some songs along the way and try to keep saying 'yes' to things.

ABOUT ME

Just finished my peace corps service in Gambia. I like to surf, hike, climb, camp and play guitar. I'm Polish and interested in learning more about that culture. I also like reading books, chatting about philosophy, listening to music, dancing and being spontaneous (e.g., having a jumping competition, eating new things, making art, freestyle rapping etc.)

PHILOSOPHY

You'll have to ask and see how i try to talk about the world, 'seeing' nature and listening better to it, variability, keep an open heart, the path, service work. its like a big mix. maybe just to 'be good and try to help' is what i'm currently interested in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to keep good contact with people on here and encourage them to travel - it's brave and i want to support something that i value as well. I first met up with some couchsurfers 4 years ago at a stand up comedy show in Europe - i really like to meet new people and have tea or a chat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been great - i actually got to host my first guest (Perth Australia!) - the chats i've had with everyone have been really good, even went out to thai food with a few people and have been catching up with CSers all over the world and hosting when i can.

Interests

Just got back from a 3 day hike/camp trip, hunted for prawns, ate coconuts, made new friends - perfect. The things that grab my attention come and go - for now i'm into gardening and talking to farmers. My dog is also a big interest of mine, as is my pet rabbit, who goes by many names. He is a boy and most often i call him hopper or bunbun. Sounds strange until you meet him and he melts your heart. I also am learning and getting into climbing and bouldering. Of course I love surfing and playing guitar as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been enjoying the mars volta and sufjan stevens lately. also like elliott smith, devendra banhart and iron and wine. getting into yeasayer. Manu Chao of course and electronic dance music is fun. also been liking environmental based documentaries, going to see the movie samsara this weekend

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Milking a cow for the first time :) - it was a big girl named Elly!

i also just helped pull a cow out of a ditch with a tractor, that was interesting for me :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to talk to people who can teach me a new take on an old experience - someone that has conviction to follow through with their ideas and not just 'have' them. i think we all have a lot of good ideas, a lot of potential to do amazing things.
