About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore San Francisco city with Couchsurfers that we host here :)

ABOUT ME

I am from India. Have grown up in various cities and finally stayed in Hyderabad for about past 8 years, but I have moved to SF bay area last year and have had amazing time till now.

By Profession I am Software engineer and I love my work and the field of computer science, and I can share some cool stuff about that if you would like to know :)

I am travel enthusiast and try to make most of my weekends doing the same. I would love to guide you about traveling in India or US (or other places I have been too).

I like dancing cuban salsa, Swing and Country dancing and am interested in learning other forms when I get chance to for e.g I learned Ceilidh in London and Forro in Rio de Janeiro. Other interests include photography, biking, water sports, watching movies and learning languages.

Languages are pretty special to me actually, I am currently trying to be good at Spanish, French and Japanese just by using Audio lessons and talking to ppl.

I haven't uploaded many of my photos on this site but if you wud like to see them they are at

PHILOSOPHY

La vida es un carnaval (Life is a festival, enjoy it.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to host people at my place if you visit my city, would be able to give you quite a bit of suggestions and tips as I travel a lot myself. Also I would love to share our traveling experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted by Maira in Brazil during Revillion 2010 and it was amazing. I can't imagine going back to youth hostels...

Other than this I have been to quite a few CS parties in many cities I visited including Sao Paulo, San Francisco, London, Edinburgh besides those in Rio de Janeiro and Mountain View.

After moving to San Francisco I have been able to host a lot of people and have had mostly positive experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I consider myself a movie buff, not that I remember name of actors, directors or such but I watch lots of movies including many in foreign languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Ran 21 KMs in half marathon in Hyderabad without any prior experience of running more than 7 KMs.
- Learned and danced Forro in Brazil and Ceilidh in London/Edinburgh
- Moved so much during my childhood that I ended up studying in 8 schools before graduating high school.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some Rueda(cuban salsa) moves, basics of some languages and may be give you information about Indian culture and history.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, United States
