Overview
About Me
I grew up in a small country town in the Australian mountains (yes, we also have mountains!) to Czech parents, so I'm a strange mix of true blue Aussie and drunkard Slav.
I love meeting people from all over the world and discuss their culture, philosophy, music and even political views. Most of all, I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about as many places as I can.
I fell in love with travelling on a post high-school gap year in 2015, and did a 6 month exchange in Sweden in 2018.
I'm now planning my next adventure. My girlfriend Siljana and I, have quit our jobs and will be travelling through South America for around 12 months, before settling in Germany for a few years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I first started here many years back, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted by a free place to stay. I quickly realised it was far more than that, not just a bed to sleep on, but an invitation to someone's home and an insight into what life is like beyond the guide books. I've met some really great and interesting people on here and I hope to continue to do so well into the future.
Interests
I play finger-style guitar (though I've been getting back into singing recently). Also a self acclaimed movie critic, and I'm trying to make my way through the IMDb Top 250 (seen 200+). Would love to hear suggestions on movies to watch.
I'm willing to try anything that comes my way at least once!

- Visiting Chernobyl
- Hiking the Tatra Mountains
- Hitchhiking 2000km from Moldova to southern Turkey in 48 hours
Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach you some random Czech words, or a few songs on guitar. Otherwise I have multiple useless facts about different countries that I've visited in the past
