Overview
About Me
I am a web developer from an old Russian city called Yaroslavl. It's not far from Moscow, about 170 miles (270 km) to the North-East (yes, in Russia it's NOT far). I like my provincial birthplace and I am always ready to show it to you.
My wife Anna is a company lawer and a writer, some of her stories were translated into French, Swedish, Chinese and Italian, and there is a whole book in English called "Yaroslavl Stories" (you may find it on Amazon if you like).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We like travelling and meeting people from all over the world. Cross-cultural communication is always exciting :)

We like music, movies, pictorial art, cooking (we've got our own cooking blog in Russian, where we study different world cuisines), good beer, good wine, walking, hiking, travelling, reading, breathing fresh air. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
We like good old British rock (The Beatles is still our favourite band), good old European pop (ABBA forever!), American oldies but goldies (Gene Vincent, The Turtles, Creedence Clearwater Revival), French chanson (Serge Gainsbourg). I am more into classic hard'n'heavy (Cream, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, etc.).
We are huge fans of mystical thrillers and horror movies, from Rosemary's Baby to the very modern ones. But we never avoid classics, and we've seen most of the IMDB Top-250 list. :)
I am not quite into reading, but Anna likes Scandinavian detective stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can cook you some Russian dishes (if we have all the ingredients), or not just Russian. :)
We can tell you about our cold and gloomy motherland and show you that it's not as gloomy as it seems (but it IS cold indeed). :)
