ABOUT ME

I am a lover of animals, books and balloon animals, cards, dancing, ecstatic experiences (clean ones-like dancing), fortune cookies, good friends and games, hiking, ice cream, jokes and juggling, kaleidoscopes, laughter, music and movies, nature, ogres (big, kind, green ones especially!), peacocks and pear trees, quality quiet moments, rain, sunshine, travel, uno, vino, water, xylophones, Yoda, and zafus.

PHILOSOPHY

Just trust...even if you don't know what's happening or why it's happening, even if you don't know what it is you're supposed to trust, even if you feel dizzy on the carousel of life, just trust. When things get rocky on the outside, come back to the center, to your breath, to your heart... there you will find your constant source of stability and strength.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While i was in Sofia i participated in the CS group there and was blessed to meet lots of really neat people. I participate as a host whenever/wherever I can (although i'm currently drifting and have no couch to offer) and i try to meet people from CS wherever i go, whether i'm surfing or not. There is such a beautiful variety of people who participate in this project!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've participated as host and surfer and have met many amazing people through this project...I'm looking forward to meeting many more!

Music, Movies, and Books

The movies "I Heart Huckabees", "What the Bleep do we Know?", "Amelie", "Shrek", and "Stardust" are some of my favorites, among many others.
As for books, anything by Hermann Hesse or Douglas Adams will make me happy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The peacocks in the garden of the Taj Mahal were absolutely amazing! Unknowingly, they healed my soul when i was going through a difficult moment.
Other amazing things i'm grateful to have seen...the gorges in Ithaca, NY, the Boulder Creek in Boulder, CO, the island of Ischia off of the coast of Naples, Italy.
Of course, anything can be amazing when approached with awe and reverence...the snow coming down right now is pretty amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you: Making dream catchers and key chains, cooking traditional Bulgarian/Turkish delights, card games, yahtzee.
I'd like to learn how to knit some fine day.
