About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeking out Truth and Beauty. Celebrating them when I find them.

ABOUT ME
Please remember that couschsurfing is not a dating site. I am actually a traveller, and female, and need no help finding a romantic partner.
I'm in metaphysical training. I LOVE TO LAUGH. I prefer to hear fables and myths to stories of history or herstory, if a person has the patience to tell it well.
I really like the Eleanor Roosevelt quote about people, events, and ideas.
I genuinely enjoy being alone, watching the sky, writing and just being.
I also really, really love to be in water, salt or sweet, but preferably where I can see my feet. I like to be in the presence of people who truly understand how fortunate we are to be alive. It really changes a person (some, not all) when he or she witnesses what others go through just to live with the most basic necessities.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is a choice. Whether we are aware of why we make our choices, we do make them. We judge ourselves, harshly sometimes. Subconsciously we may choose something painful, and ideally we learn from that experience. Forgiveness is crucial, and it doesn't have to make sense when we forgive ourselves. Or...we can choose to do repeat lessons over and over and over. And that's OK too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been both a hostess and a surfer, and had nothing but wonderful experiences on both ends. Truly. In this moment of my life being in transition, I'm only able to surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted surfers from all over the world, and surfed for about five months in Mexico. I highly recommend that experience - I was so warmly received, over and over again. I have friends for life that I met through CS in Mexico. I'm so thankful that this community exists. Surfing in Israel and now Jordan has been extremely different than Mexico, and each other. It can be complicated.

Interests

I'm really into learning. This means from personal experience. I know how to Google, and so do you, so please remember that. I keep Sacred things sacred.
I really like learning about who people are, and observing how dynamics play out. People are interesting to me, often more to watch than to listen to, because there is usually way more being said without words, which is why I have a love/hate experience with planting myself in the midst of a foreign culture.

Lately if I can't seem to find a metaphysically stimulating conversation, I'll search someone out who will speak Spanish with me. My Spanish isn't fluent, but at least my brain gets an appropriate workout during conversation. Also it's more loving than American English.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mr. Nobody. Tom Robbins. Soon metaphysical confirmations. Baha'i writings (although I know very little).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hitchhiked more than any other female I have ever met, except one rad girl I met in Costa Rica. I'm a hitchhiker for life. I don't believe in letting fear help me make decisions. I cannot possibly narrow down my stories to one or two. Editor's note: It would be unwise to give detailed stories. It could potentially ruin the fair game of Two Lies, One Truth. Getting to Israel was difficult. It deserves the rewards that are bestowed upon me now that I am here. I am ever grateful to get this summer in the country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share ideas about the creation of the new world... What would a spiritual justice system look like? What if we were all our own police? I believe that thoughts become words that become manifest into this dimension, and the ideas that we throw out could be more powerful than any of us imagine. I also can teach you how to make incredible kombucha, and learn almost any accent in English if you are willing to practice. I prefer brutal honesty spoken to me, and will be as honest in my own speaking as you permit. P.S. Science has recently been PROVING my above theories to be real. Ha.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm the idea girl. Whether it's natural living within a home, healing theories, raising children in an environment that nourishes their given talents, or being your own boss within your own business, I am full of ideas. Just ask. Also,I love to cook for people. I like to treat it as if I'm working in a restaurant as the cook and the server. I appreciate help with clean-up, but that's in my own house. I'd probably do all of it happily in someone else's. I have lots of experience with kids, little and grown. I'm a natural teacher but I really geek out on learning. I am self-educated in many topics regarding nutrition and healing, and I trust experience more than any written, spoken, or regurgitated words.
