About Me

I am calm, friendly and curious. Until recently I was closer to a listener-observer kind of person, but after I decided that a little bit more talking can lead to higher quality conversations, I started to talk a lot, after a few cups of coffee maybe even a bit too much. The problem is, that when I find some subject really interesting, I become very emotional (in a good way) during a conversation and sometimes can become too engaged in expressing my mind. That doesn't mean though that I don't listen to other people

Coffee > Alcohol

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel like my life just gets too boring sometimes and communication with new people could inspire me to do things, make better decisions and generally improve my life tremendously

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly sad or melancholic music, because it summons the strongest emotions:
Olafur Arnalds, Arvo Pärt, Cocoon, Boy, Placebo, CHVRCHES, Coldplay, AaRON, Ukrainian performers; it changes

Movies, at this particular moment:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Interstellar, Star Wars, Seven Pounds, LotR trilogy (not Hobbit, obviously you can't stretch out one short fairy-tale-like book to 8 hours movie and keep it interesting)

Books, although unfortunately I can't say I read a lot:
Everything about the world of Middle-earth (favourite one is the Silmarillion), Ayn Rand's 'The Fountainhead' and 'Atlas Shrugged'

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participated in 2013-2014 protests in Kyiv

Teach, Learn, Share

Eager to teach some basic piano, guitar, violin or medicine stuff. Also recently I discovered that cooking is not that hard, so I can teach you how to cook some ukrainian dishes.

Would gladly learn any stuff at all: wheter it is gardening, building, car repairing or language, physics or cooking.

I can obviously tell you something about Ukraine, it's politics/history/geography/culture/prospect and can show you some really beautiful ukrainian music (modern/falk/classical);
