ABOUT ME

Hello! I am 29 years old baby face looking guy living in close to Helsinki city center.

As probably all of you out there, I also share a passion called travelling. After all what is better than experiencing other cultures, enjoying different places world has to offer and meeting new friends. Past few years have been good to me in terms of travelling. During my studies in Uni and business polytechnics I studied as exchange in St.Petersburg and Buenos Aires. I also did my internship in Beijing. If you are planning to go any of those places I can also give some hints about those. Now I am in work life but still try to maximize all the opportunities to see the world and experience new things.

When it comes to own personality it is always quite hard to describe it, but I'll try:

First of all I consider my self as open minded and extrovert person who comes well along with different kind of personalities. I like to try new things and be active in many aspects of life but at the same time not forgetting hedonism for once in a while. If you especially like different kinds music, movies or football we definitely have plenty for discussion.

That is a bit about me, however you never cannot sum up one's life in few sentences. Therefore if you have any questions about me (if you're e.g. a potential host or quest, please don't hesitate to ask.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although this might sound like a total klishee, I really want to see the different cultures, habbits and meet local people when i am travelling without forgetting new amazing experiences.

Compared to visiting as a regular tourist, usually the best and definitely the new experiences come when local people are involved. Therefore I believe couchsurfing is a perfect way to get friends from all around the world, see the REAL life of local people and learn more things about the country you're visiting than any guide books can tell. I want to give vice versa the same experience to travellers coming in Finland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Years ago I met an italian dude in Japan who told me about this project and the whole idea just sounded wonderful. I also asked him to host friend of mine, who was travelling in Italy. After hearing my friend's experiences about the being hosted by native, i really wanted to participate as well

Since then i've hosted travellers twice (my chinese and russian friends i've met while i was studying in St.Petersburg) and I really liked the idea of being guide for someone who is travelling here. In addition I have also had opportunity to surf in HongKong and Sweden at few wonderful hosts' places which also encouraged me towards this project.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have dozens of favorite bands and music styles I prefer. From rock to pop, rap, soul, Electro&EDM..you name it. As long as song is good the genre doesn't matter

I also like many kinds of movies, but generally speaking I usually prefer "critically acclaimed"- movies or classics over silly comedies: Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Drive, La Grande Bellezza, Matrix etc...and iam also a huge fan of the Sopranos tv-serie
