Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

When I was a student in a hospital "exploration" program, I observed a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) in the operating room. After the surgeon removed the organ, the anesthesiologist had me put gloves on and, without warning, dropped the gallbladder into my hands. It was a singular experience holding a piece of a human being that had been within them just minutes before.
