Keeping up the Yoga spirit!
ABOUT ME
Many people think that I'm Spanish ... because of my name ... my olive-coloured skin ... my free-spirit-character ... but NO! I am 100% Austrian and only started travelling when I was old enough to pay for it by myself. I am the oldest of five girls and pretty much the only one in the entire family for whom travelling has become an essential part of my life. I see it as a brilliant way of getting to know oneself.
I was living in Vienna and London for many years and the most important reason why I was there for so long was the multicultural atmosphere. For my other interests like outdoor-activities I should be at a different place really ;-). So I moved back to the beautiful countryside in the mid of Austria and this is where I am living and working now. My new home is located Close to Linz but still very off anything really.
I love / live life with all its ups and downs ... which explains my emotions which can be like embracing everyone in one moment and having crazy ideas but also very thoughtful and careful in another moment.
PHILOSOPHY
"LIFE STARTS WHERE THE COMFORT ZONE ENDS"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My enthusiasm for CS was awakened while I had my first really good experience in Sofia - as the one who was hosted together with a friend who was member at that time already. Since then I have hosted several people but done more surfing really.
I love meeting people from all over the planet - as long as they open for helping each other, making life nicer and more enjoyable for all of us.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Very good experiences! Even friendships have been built up! But I base these good experiences on a working system of leaving honest references that help meeting the right kind of people.
Interests
I am getting more and more into Yoga and I am shaping my spiritual thinking.
I like sports, especially mountain-associated sports like climbing, skiing, mountainbiking, ...
I love running, swimming and cycling as well as it's sooo easy to do.
In my holidays I love diving and surfing which I have only discovered in the last years and which I found amazing.
Music, but mainly listening to (unfortunately I´m not good in making music by myself ! :-( I am successfully or sadly neglecting practising playing the guitar and the djembe ... ahh) and combining this passion with going out and visiting festivals or balls. I have recently started to do some ecstatic (expression) dancing and Yoga Dance which is extremely liberating.
I'm also interested in arts, international affairs, world politics travelling and getting to know different cultures, food & cooking, development assistance, environmental protection ... it's my life philosophy to leave not too many bad footprints ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books
I´m really bad in recommending movies ! I'm definitely not interested in mainstream (Hollywood-produced) movies.
Concerning music I enjoy electronic music, especially trance, chill out. But, depending on my mood, I also like Latin music, Jazz and World Music. And, as an Austrian, I love listening to classic music, especially on a Sunday.
I read some books from Ken Follet and loved them. I generally like reading stories that take place in the Middle Ages.
And sometimes I "need" quite philosophical books ! ;-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most beautiful adventures was climbing my first 3000m-high-peak (and a few years later my first 4000m-high-peak). The way up there reminded me of my physical barriers. The view was just breathtaking !
Another beautiful experience was taking an over-night bus in the north of Sulawesi where I was communicating with local people with smiles and gestures only. They were sharing all they had with me. One man was pushing a bag with rice towards me so that I could rest my legs on it. Soooo super nice and all without words! Bless them!
It's a couple of years ago already but I remember clearly holding my new-born-sister when she was just a few hours old. It was one of the most beautiful moments I have ever experienced.
Following my heart and starting a wonderful relationship with a Porteno (although the distance between us was more than 10000km). We had sooo many amazing moments together and also sort of an idea of a future together . I did not work out but it left a huge amount of life experience and a big smile on my face.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a very curious and open-minded character and I get lots of satisfaction by hearing about other cultures, diving into different traditions, learning new languages, broadening my knowledge about politics, history and much more ...
from my side:
teaching? i actually had the chance to teach kids and teenagers and really enjoyed that experience. what i'm really good and passionate about is biology, medicine, healthy lifestyle, ... sports ... and I will soon do the yoga teacher training and some massage courses (I'm sure some of you are willing to be taught or shown some of my newly gained skills ;-))
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my yoga teacher abilities and my Passion for healthy Food. Otherwise some nice Chats about whatever ... :-)
