About Me

I am a doctor, an extremely clean and well-organized individual. I am a non-smoker and I'm also very friendly with pets. I admire any companies of people, where I can be myself and have some great time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm an avid traveler. Getting to know the history and culture of the people and places I visit is an absolute priority during my trips, which can vary a lot in form - from hiking in the wilderness for days and camping, bike tours on mountainous trails to city tours and urban attractions. Most importantly, communication with the natives is the most valuable means for me to enrich my journeys and turn them into unforgettable ones.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Jazz, Blues, Soul, Funk, RnB, Classical Rock, Funk Rock, Indie/Alternative Rock, Classical Music, Electronic Music

Movies: mostly art-house movies from the classical period, but not limited to it.
A few to name:
"Bicycle Thieves" by Vittorio De Sica, "Stalker" by Andrei Tarkovsky, "Fanny & Alexander" by Ingmar Bergman, "The island" by Pavel Lungin, "Angel-A" by Luc Besson, "Fountain" by Darren Aronofsky, "Mr. Nobody" by Jaco van Dormael

Books: a good read from recent times is "The Ugly Swans" by the Strugatsky brothers; currently I am reading "Twelve-bar Blues" an astounding story weaving around the jazz scene of the beginning of the 20th century in New Orleans. And a bunch of other books, that I can't recall right now but i'm sure a warm conversation accompanied by a glass of wine will bring me recollections of them almost immediately. :))
