About Me

CURRENT MISSION

CARPE DIEM. Build a life together with those who matter.

ABOUT ME

I'm originally Brazilian, arriving back home after 4 years living in Europe (1 year in Amsterdam and 3 years in Aarhus, Denmark). I'm a very curious and adventurous person, I love meeting new people and discovering common interests, questions and passions. I enjoy reading, listening music, and of course, travelling!

PHILOSOPHY

My #1 book is called "Walden" by Thoreau. Among others, it influenced me a lot and I usually quote it by saying: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams; live the life of your dreams" - and the original text continues: "He [you] will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He [you] will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him [you]; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his [your] favor in a more liberal sense, and he [you] will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as he [you] simplifies his [your] life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."

Music, Movies, and Books

Besides "Walden", "Ishmael" is one of the best books ever. As you can imagine, "Into the Wild" is also one of my favourite movies too (also Krakauer's book is great). I love Brazilian music (MPB, rock) and classic rock from 60's and 70's...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A naive 6-weeks backpacking trip with two friends in Peru and Bolivia, when I was starting college. That trip challenged completely my world view and I live my life in a very different way today because of those days...
