About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to pay forward the kindness shown to me by others.
ABOUT ME
I love my two kids like crazy and now we have added 3 granddaughters to the family! Our little 3 year old Sadie and her twin baby sisters, Joanna and Olivia! I love where I live but I also like to visit new places. I have traveled in Spain from the Basque region of the Spain-France border in the north to Sevilla in the south (and Madrid in between) I totally fell in love with the people and the region! I also have visited Paris and would like to return as I only had a few days there. I love art and was sorry I couldn't find more paintings by the Impressionists.
PHILOSOPHY
At first I lived my life for my parents and teachers, then I lived my life for my husband and then my children--now, now I am living my life for me. Don't wait as long as I did to figure it out. My philosophy is to live your life for yourself--no one else can live it for you and you can't live someone else's life for them--including your children's.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had several couch surfers now and it has been sooooo much fun! My friends all think I am nuts but....oh well!
Interests
I am interested in hiking in the back country and have recently got into some peak climbing. I feel blessed by whatever higher powers exist in the universe, that I get to live where I love to play--the Eastern High Sierras. I love to travel, I love to read, I love to cook, I love to run--I just love being alive!

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all kinds of music. In addition, my favorite movie is "The Big Lebowski" (I don't know why--if you haven't seen it, watch it!) I like to read Steven King, John Grisham, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and the backs of cereal boxes (shampoo bottles if I'm stuck in the bathroom)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm a child of the 70's and in the early 70's I took six weeks and hitchhiked from California to New York, up to Canada and back west through Canada (staying in hostels). In the U.S. I stayed wherever I could find shelter or a kind soul to put me up. That is why I am so enamoured of couchSurfing and why I want to be a part of it--It's payback time!
