CURRENT MISSION

I guess my mission is to spend the rest of my life meeting as many people as possible and experiencing as much as I can.

ABOUT ME

As my name implies, I'm vegan, I'm an animal-rights advocate. I've loved to travel my entire life. I love what I do for a living. The only thing that would make it better is to be able to do it while traveling the world. Still working on that part. Meanwhile, I've raised two wonderful kids. We live on 50+ acres in the country where our son is building fruit orchards.

PHILOSOPHY

I hope that I can one day look back at my life and know that I've made it a better world for all of the creatures who inhabit it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the couchsurfing project, but I'm looking forward to meeting new people and hearing about their lives and traveling experiences....assuming they want to share all of that. I'll offer up any vegan food, coffee or tea.

None yet, but anxious to have some.

Interests

Traveling the world; meeting new vegan friends; meeting more animal advocates; learning all I can about other cultures. I enjoy reading, kayaking, walking, taking care of our new orchard.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to watch movies with my family and the choices are varied. Not much into anything gorey or violent....I like to leave the movie either laughing or crying happy tears or thinking so deeply that I'm still thinking about it the next day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Narrowing this down to just one thing is very hard. I've visited China and Egypt in out-of-the-ordinary ways, each of which had tons of amazing elements to them. But I have to say that if I could do only one thing over again....it would be to sail further up the Nile in a felluca. I felt completely at peace with the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how captioning works.....not that many people will become captioners. But hey, it's what I know. I have spent much of my life learning from my kids and their interests.....trees, plants, traveling.
