ABOUT ME

After being a squatter for seven years, I finally have my own apartment close to the city centre where I live with my girlfriend and our four cats, Dorus, Mimi, Truus and Frankie :).
I guess some keywords are: vegan, punk, caring, nerd, sarcastic, movie nut, thinker, Star Wars and dreamer.

As I wrote, I am a vegan and thus will not let any meat into the house (rather no egss, milk and such aswell). The upside is, that I will share my mediocre vegan cooking skills with you :)!

Well, I guess that's it. I do have a facebook account, so add me if you want to know more.

Oh, and I have Napoleon Dynamite on DVD. That's always a plus, right?

PHILOSOPHY

If humankind can't even care and be compassionate for the most vulnerable and innocent of creatures, namely animals, how does mankind think to live in peace with each other?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think the world needs more 'open' travelling. Nowadays you barely can't cross the border without providing a DNA sample! People should be able to visit other people freely and without too much hassle. Providing a place to stay based on hospitality and trust helps with this, I guess.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't surfed any couches yet (through this site. Offcourse I crashed at some places after going out :P)

I still have the wish to couch surf through Ireland, and learn to play the fiddle from many different people. I have a fiddle and can play some, but I would still want to learn to play it with Irish fire!

Interests

Ehm, movies, video games, comedy, veganism, history, poker, making the world a better place (and definately for animals). I can't imagine a day without music. That music would be punk, traditional folk, rock, some jazz (Chet Baker ftw!) and many other things depending on my mood.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love anything Judd Apatow is involved with (Knocked Up, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall). I love zombie flicks and old horror/thriller movies.

The bands I listen to most are Greenland Whalefishers, Pogues, The Dreadnoughts, The Streets, Enter Shikari, The Misfits, The Smiths. And much more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm quite creative when it comes to creating concepts. I think I'm an addition when new ideas are needed and I love to brainstorm.

Also I have quite some experience in the video games industry. I've been a full time editor for a paper games magazine and succesfully completed an internship with one of the industry biggest video game publishers.
