About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be authentically happy with myself, my decisions, and my situations and accepting of alll things around me
ABOUT ME
I'm a prairie-loving gal who loves adventure. I love music and seeing live bands. Living in a small town away from live music is very difficult. I live with my partner and his kids, our two cats, and two dogs. It has been an unexpected life that's for sure.
PHILOSOPHY
my mantra: "Relax. Nothing is under control."
Life is short. Live with no regrets. Appreciate everyone that you love everyday.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since I don't live in a major centre I don't expect to host very much. However, I can occasionally use a place to stay. If anyone happens to need a place in the middle of nowhere, let me know!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A few years ago I met a wonderful woman who has become an amazing international friend. It was absolutely the best couch surfing experience. We had so much fun. The stars aligned perfectly for our hangout.
I have couch-surfed informally through friends. One time I got to sleep in a sun room in Victoria in February. In Saskatchewan, this is a time of dark and cold. In Victoria, it is spring. So I ran by the ocean in shorts and hung out with many cool people, all the while doing yoga at a studio that offered free classes the week I was there. It was a perfect couch-surfing experience!

Music: indie rock, folk, alternative-country, rock... pretty much anything alternative
Books: Life of Pi, 1984, Time Traveler's Wife, Brave New World - I like books that make me think
Movies: The Squid and the Whale, Juno, Dirty Dancing, anything John Hughes, Say Anything, The Way We Were... I like films as well as some mainstream movies
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I biked across Canada in 2001. It was a great experience. We couch-surfed our way across the country as well as stayed in many church basements.
I completed my first Ironman triathlon in 2007 and plan on completing my second in June, 2009.
