ABOUT ME

I am an American living and working in Chengdu, China. I work in a school teaching children English. They are adorable.
I am trying to learn Chinese.
In the future I'd like to become more involved with backpacking. It is one of my life goals to thru-hike the Appalachian trail.
I'd also like to open my own business and to retire before I'm forty, I have a long way to go to get there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big movie watcher. Some of my favorite directors are Guillermo del Toro, Stephen Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, Christopher Nolan and The Coens.

I also like to read books, though the range I enjoy is too eclectic to be summarized here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One summer, I was on a rope swing and fell and broke my hip. It required major surgery and I had to live with a titanium rod inside my femur for a year.
