About Me
***I will go to the country side for a week from 10th until 17th of December, and won't be able to host during that week. And from 11th January until early April I will be in Asia***
Just moved back to Finland after spending most of the last decade abroad. I had some great experiences with Couchsurfers in Southeast Asia, so I am looking forward to hosting people in Finland. I can usually cater to last minute requests, so please feel free to send a request. I live about 20kms from Helsinki city center, not far from the airport), but there is public transport (train station about 2kms and a bus stop just few hundred meters from my place).
I'm a big time music fan, and when in Helsinki I do DJ gigs occasionally. Always interested of learning about new music and also willing to represent my favorites to new audiences. Also interested of history and politics. I really value endless conversations about pretty much anything, specially the kind that really makes me question my own opinions and things i've been brought up with. I'm a big time joker with rather dry sense of humor.
Recently I've had some bad experiences with people requesting a couch and not showing up. I wish surfers would understand that the host might have to adjust their schedules according to the arrival and departure of their guests and have the courtesy to inform if they are not coming or found another more suitable host.
Also because I live so near the airport, I get a lot of requests from people arriving late in the evening or at night and leaving early in the morning. I've found that I don't really get anything from hosting people who are just looking for a crash pad, so I will most likely decline surfers looking just for free accommodation. For me the people are what makes couchsurfing interesting, and I don't really believe I can have any kind of connection with somebody in an hour or so.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Seeing the world is one thing, but i really love meeting interesting people and that's why i'm interested of couch surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
too many to mention. Basically anything from 40's rhythm & blues to new hipster electro. African, balkanbeat, jazz, funk... the list goes on forever. Greatest band ever? Probably The Beatles. Greatest solo artist? Bob Dylan, definitely.
Books:
again too many to mention, but i think On the Road by Jack Kerouac has inspired me a lot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
