About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Treating my relentless wanderlust.
ABOUT ME
Hi, how are you? I'm Jorge and I just started a little traveling sabbatical through Latin America. I'm taking time off from a transitional time in my life. I just moved back to New York after spending a fantastic 10-year run living in San Francisco. And before I settle back to living the NY life, I decided to travel for a bit. So here I am; jumping from town to town and hopefully making my way from Costa Rica all the way to Argentina by years end.. Yikes, thats a tall order. But I hope to meet great people and have amazing adventures along the way and make some lasting impressions on life for years to come. Oh and I like dudes. Hopefully that isn't an issue.
PHILOSOPHY
I avoid regret like the plague. Theres no bigger pain than regretting missed opportunities, missed actions, missed connections. Hey, If I strike out, I strike out. But at least, I had my chance with the bat.
And…
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness…"
-Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've never actually couchsurfed before. Wouldn't know where to start. But I guess we would chat first to iron things out like, "Should I leave the toilet seat down at all times?", "Can I contribute to household chores? (I hate being dead weight at someone else's house)", or "Are you LGBT-friendly?"
Ultimately, the communication aspect is pretty important to me.
Interests
I studied graphic design back in college and have worked in the field for years. I'm a fan of illustrations (Al Hirschfeld, Charley Harper), and brush lettering. But I'm not consumed by it entirely. I also like to rock climb (bouldering, top-roping and leading). But traveling has to be my current joy. Being out of my comfort-zone, exposed to new environments, new people and new experiences is such a soul-nurturing activity. I can never stop traveling. I'm also a burner os heres to )'( 2014!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After years of childhood fantasies, I finally went to Japan. It was everything I had hoped to see. Visited 5 cities, I ate like a beast, saw awe-inspiring temples and ached for more. I'll just have to return.
