About Me

CURRENT MISSION

take over the world with delicious vegan bakes

ABOUT ME

I'm a natural talent in being quiet, that's the first time you see me. But, when you get to know me you'll realize that I'm actually not that quiet, even a little loco (to practice my Spanish a bit).
I like to get to know new people, but I'm always a bit shy the first time(s) I see you. I also realize I'm not the most easy person to get around with (but I'm working on that one).
Hmm, let's see what my main interests are and what I'm up to at the moment. I'm a social cultural worker and I love to cook and bake. I'm a feminist and a vegan. I love to stand up for my principles but I won't let anyone get hurt in fighting for them. I love cinema, I can't live without my films (I absolutely ADORE Pedro Almodovar). I love taking pictures and I love watching them, I think there's almost no such beauty as seeing a picture that touches your heart. I like literature and poetry, specially Louis Paul Boon, Tom Lanoye, Isabelle Allende, etc.
If you want to know anything else about me, feel free to ask!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to enjoy it to the fullest. I can't live without love, family, friends, good food and seeing and experiencing wonderfull things such as art and the beauty of nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't know if I can really call it participate, but if my friends get couchsurfers I love to get to know them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through a good friend I saw a bunch of couchsurfers that were on Pukkelpop (2009), fun people to be around, specially on a festival! We had one couchsurfer in Brussels. And ehm, that's about it.

Interests

I'll summarize my 'all about me' section:
Vegan cooking and baking, film, photography, literature (and actually all kinds of art), reading, animal- and humanrights, music, hanging out with my friends, passionately curious: getting to know new things, and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films: all those of Pedro Almodovar (specially Mujeres al borde!), Emir Kusturica, Gus Van Sant, ...
Music: f.e. Radiohead, Lou Reed, Tom Waits, Other Lives, Devendra Banhart, Edward Sharpe & TMZ, Arcade Fire, Charles Bradley, Isbells, Chuck Berry, ...
Books: Dimitri Verhulst, Louis Paul Boon, Tom Lanoye, Isabelle Allende, Zafón, Kundera, Marquez, Claus, Jane Austen, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have seen is in a small town in Cantabria, Spain. Everytime I see those beaches, the trees and in the background the mountains (Picos d'Europa)... It just takes my breath away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about veganism and a tiny bit about feminism. If you want to know how to bake and/or cook vegan food, I'm more then willing to teach you :-)
