ABOUT ME

I've lived in Iowa until I was 20, with the last 14 years being in Iowa City. Upon turning 20 I joined the army and was in Georgia for a few months and now I live in North Carolina - I am still in training and I won't be finished until early to mid 2011!
As for everything else I'm pretty much involved in everything I can be. I participate, or have participated in all types of sports, music and theatre; I enjoy a night of a symphony and fine dining, or being in the crowd of a crazy soccer game and afterwards being on the dance floor of a loud night club. I can jump out of a plane, scuba dive, and ride a motorcycle. So if I can visit you, or if you can visit me.. I'm sure we'll have atleast a few things in common.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Traveling is one of my biggest passions so when I found this site I was elated. Unfortunately due to the training I'm involved in I don't have a couch available but in about a year I will have a solid residence where I can give back to the CS community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed at two different locations (Waiheke Island, and 30 min north of Auckland City) on my travels throughout New Zealand. CSing made my trip unbelievably better. If I had an unlimited budget for a vacation I would still want to couch surf because it's the best way to truly travel and experience the best, and most, of what a new country and culture has to offer, and gives you the opportunity to give part of your background and culture. I will be involved with this community for as long as it lasts, and of course will be participating as often as I can. Hopefully I will be able to offer my own generosity in the future.. but I really hope anyone isn't hoping to come to Fayetteville, NC for vacation.... I wouldn't.

Currently my main interests are playing basketball and racquetball, reading histories/classics, And spending time with my friends in any location other than Fayetteville.

Spent two weeks in Queenstown, NZ. And also about $5,000 more than I wanted to spend! But the two weeks was full of more fun, and just more living than I could ever dream of.
