About Me

I'm a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching in Sichuan, China. Boring English teacher by day, bad ass self-defense teacher by night.
I blog occasionally, and it is probably the best way to get insight into my life and opinions: mrveitch.com

I'd love to be a host, but that breaks several of the rules I agreed to when becoming a volunteer... and Deyang isn't the most fun place to visit haha.

我真的会说中文。我学中文学了七年但我觉得还需要学很多。 我以前住在上海,在复旦读书。这是我第三次来中国。两个月住在成都跟中国家庭然后搬家到德阳,当老师。

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people! and avoid hotel fees haha

Interests

I'm a martial artist and have practiced MMA for 5 years. Got my blue belt in BJJ before I came to China and now my BJJ career is on hold :(

Of course, I love travelling and challenging myself. Learning Chinese and coming to China allows me to combine both. This is my 3rd time living here- 1st and 2nd times I was a student at Fudan University in Shanghai.
