About Me
The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. - Le monde est un livre et ceux qui ne voyagent pas n'en lisent qu'une seule page.
"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart." - Nelson Mandela
I'm a young professional traveling around the world. I like to know other people and to understand their culture. I am smiling, understanding and open-minded. I usually travel and work at the same time. I did an internship in Mexico, worked as a French teacher in Brazil and actually in Philippines to work again as a French teacher. I'm hoping to do that all my life (or as long as I'll want to!)...Maybe I'll settle down in a country and stay there longer. Who knows? :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is the perfect way to dive in one's culture. Traveling without getting to know the people is an incomplete travel. I had amazing experiences through Couchsurfing and I want to have more.
Interests
I love outdoor activities: hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling, camping... I love learning new languages and always try to do so when I'm traveling. I also practice different sports: crossfit, snowboarding, running, ice skating. I have been a gymnastics coach for almost ten years. I like to keep busy, even more when I'm traveling. However, I won't say no to a quiet night with some friends or just staying home watching a movie.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not fond of music, but I like to discover new styles and groups. It's part of discovering the culture. I like to listen to Latino/Brazilian music. I also enjoy a lot music from Quebec, where I'm from :)
I read lots of books of many different styles: adventure, thriller, police, biographies, history... I like to learn new things!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I bungee jumped in Whistler, Canada
I skydived in Quebec, Canada.
I hiked the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu in Peru.
I sharkdived in Fiji Islands.
I jumped off a 9-meter fall in the Huasteca Potosina, Mexico
Teach, Learn, Share
Every person that comes in our life has something to teach us. Sometimes we don't realize it on the moment, but each culture, each person, has something great to teach us!
Travel is the only expense that will make you richer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Teaching French, English or Spanish! :) I can get you to know more about Quebec's culture. Quebec is really different from Canada...from the language to the food!
