About Me

Hitchhiking from Serbia 🇷🇸 to central France 🇫🇷

Heey, I love to meet other people and hear about their experiences. I think we all should connect more and create a community where mutual aid would be commonplace.

I have recently finished a backpacking trip through Balkans. And I will start my new trip to France this time, in around 10 days. My plan is to visit a couple of eco-villages and try to hitchhike all the way to France which is around 1800km in a few days.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is a cool way to meet new people and encourage the culture of helping each other. The only issue is that it seems that many people use it as a dating app which really sucks.

Interests

I love being in nature and hiking. I want to learn to produce food in a sustainable way via permaculture. And it would be really cool to learn about natural building, too, and anything else, honestly. I plan to acquire such skills through workaways.

I also like to discuss social topics and I have been involved in some initiatives in Serbia. For example, the students' movement and trying to start a food cooperative.

Also, ultimate frisbee is great. Generally, I am up for any activity where the goal is have fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently, I have started listening more ex-yu rock, but generally I tend to listen metal and punk, but anything is fine. I do not watch movies often, but I like when they make you ask multiple questions that you would not ask otherwise.
For books, I have recently read a great book on modern education and alternatives to it called "Free to Play" by Peter Gray. It is a great read, I would recommend it to anyone. Generally, I tend to like to read such books that are about alternative education, permaculture, some social topics etc. To be honest, I rarely read novels, but they can be great, too, for example "The Dispossessed" by Ursula Le Guin is one of my favorite books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Workawaying and backpacking around Balkans

Cutting trees in a Dutch moor with my leg in the mud up to the hip lol

Or maybe mudwalking in the Netherlands haha

Tried to dumpster dive in Belgrade

Participated in the International Math Olympiad

Teach, Learn, Share

It would be nice to share our travel experiences and nice places that we should visit. I can also show you some cool logical riddles if you are into that. And it would be great to hear your story and learn basically anything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would gladly help with anything that is needed. I believe that is a nice way to get to know each other, too. And also, we can exchange our knowledge and experiences.
