About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to understand

ABOUT ME

My main goal in life is to understand everything and everyone. As such, I try not to judge or opine on anything unless it is directly requested of me. I really like being in nature - just walking around in parks or taking longer hikes through the countryside. I don't get to do that all that often, though, because I also really enjoy my work (especially teaching) and it does not leave too much free time.

My search for understanding has led me through mathematics to religions to psychology and I still have a strong respect and interest for all three.

PHILOSOPHY

Taoist, at least in theory. Life is to be experienced to be enjoyed. In practice, I am a bit prone to overthinking in some cases.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a few couches. I would also like to host, but Tartu is not a very touristy place and there are plenty of other couches available usually.

Interests

Computer science, mathematics, psyhcology, world religions, teaching, economics, business

Fire spinning - to keep me grounded in the here and now. Many props: staff, double staff, dragon staff.

Also, I have tried teaching myself bass guitar, but haven't gotten too far yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing mnt. Tibrogargan in Australia - without any instruction, equipment, prior training or climbing experience. Taught me a lot about myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach spinning a staff and poi, as fire spinners do.

Or programming. The basics are actually pretty easy ;)

Or even math - trust me, there are some pretty cool things there that may make you reconsider it being boring.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook. In fact I love to cook - especially asian cusine
