I decided to go to China for my exchange studies merely because I had a vision during meditation where I was at the Great Wall. Now that I am here I can tell that it was a great idea!

At my best I am adorable, loving, fun, kind and adventurous being which is how I would like to be all the time of course. However the truth is that I have things to learn about being connected with my feelings and when disconnected, I can become shy, anxious and irritating. I am really very sensitive. Now that I've said that, it's much easier for me to stay connected around new people instead of wasting energy in pointless hiding.

What I enjoy the most is discovering new things, thoughts and places. I am a very nature loving person also and like to get lost in forests as well as in other places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People make places, so what would be better way to discover places than discovering the people! I think CS is about sharing life, learning new things and experiencing the unexpected.

Interests

I have recently fell in love with traditional Chinese art techniques such as embroidery, calligraphy and Chinese painting.

I believe that when/if I grow up I will become a gardener.

I want to learn many languages because language is often a key to understand other people better. Communication in all is very interesting to me.

Language and lyrics are important for me also in music as most of the bands I listen to have Finnish lyrics and something interesting to say. However, I do enjoy hips shaking rock'n'roll and funky beats to dance to.

Photography is a hobby in which I would like to get better at.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Lars von Trier, Tarantino and Miyazaki films, b-movies, fantasies, fairytales and childrens movies. Mary Poppins is one of my favorites. Peter Jacksons Bad taste left me speechless (in a good way).

Music makes me dance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drove from southern Finland to the Arctic ocean with a dear friend, to go and swim there. The journey was the best part of it though ;)

I can teach/share (vegan/vegetarian) cooking, baking, raw foods and massage and something art related perhaps.
