On the old couchsurf website it asked you to put your current mission in life. And i said, To live a happy life and help others accomplish the same.
Nowadays, i more and more realize that this is the most important thing in my life. People make me happy, and i try to make people happy.

Anyway, more about me. I am an open guy, who is mostly very positive and open minded. I am a good listener, but probably an even better talker. I really enjoy meeting new people and going to new places. Or just discussing life or other trivial things.
I am always up for a party, and whenever something is organised, i try to be there.

I used to be in a band for a long time, been a barman and manager of an irish pub for a while, and currently i am doing all kind of things, including hosting a pub quiz every week where a lot of couchsurfers show up and sometimes even win something.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing for 2 reasons.
The first one is obviously that i want to offer people an easy and save place to sleep at no cost. And if i need/want it get offered the same thing.
The second one is closely related to the first and is something most couchsurfers share. I love meeting new people. Getting to know a new person, learning from them, sharing experiences and getting to know new stories is a brilliant thing and i could not live without it. By offering your couch to someone, or just going to couchsurf meetings you get to meet people from all over the world with all kind of cultures. It is something i don't think i could live without.

Interests

It's already clear by now that meeting people is one of my biggest interests. I love spending time with almost everybody.
Next to that, i love music, i love a good party and a good beer and/or whiskey. I enjoy watching sports a lot, but also like to read a lot and play a computer game here and there.

I love almost every kind of music, movies and book. I don't like playing favorites because many genres have something to offer. But i do like quality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done many things in my life that still fill me with joy if i think back to it. But what was one of the most amazing feelings ever was being on a stage with 5000 people in front of you cheering and singing your band's songs.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a quizmaster, i have a lot of useless knowledge i love to share. I know a lot about the history of The Netherlands and know a lot about it's people. But mostly what i have to offer is me. I can teach you about me, and share my stores and experiences. And i'd love to learn about other people.
