I've hosted and been hosted by some great people over the years, though it's been a while as I've gone from solo traveller to family man with kids. :)

Some of these past Couchsurfing experiences ave turned into lasting friendships and we still keep in touch. I truly love the experience of getting to know someone and experiencing their culture from their perspective.

Música, películas y libros

Movies: I have a serious problem when it comes to movies and Netflix feeds my addiction. Here's a small sampling of some favorites ... The Royal Tenenbaums, Goodfellas, So I Married an Axe Murderer, The Jerk, Leaving Las Vegas, Grosse Pointe Blank, Rushmore, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Igby Goes Down, Wonder Boys, Uncle Buck, Boogie Nights, Lost in Translation. Anything by Wes Anderson, the Coen brothers, or Judd Apatow is fine by me.

Music: My taste in music is all over the place, and ranges from oldies to classic rock to indie/alt. Some of my all time favorites include The Smiths, The Kinks, The Clash, The Cure, The Eagles, The Killers, The Strokes, Wilco, Weezer, Van Morrison, Elton John, Mark Knopfler, and Jackson Browne.

Tended bar in Dublin, been thrown out of a bar in Munich, ridden horses through the mountains of Chile, spent the night in a Love Hotel in Tokyo, haggled a $2,000 rug down to $50 in Morocco, run up a $1,000 bar tab in Taipei, been conned in Mexico, toured vineyards in Argentina, seen a marionette opera in Prague, attended the World Expo in Lisbon, made out in a confessional booth in Costa Rica, played dominoes with locals in Jamaica, been canyoning in Switzerland, swam with sting rays in the Cayman Islands, observed the world's largest Buddha in Hong Kong, and gotten dysentery in the Amazon Jungle.

I'm pretty good in the kitchen. I'm also very knowledgeable in all things geekery, like web design, programming, or starting a business. Or, perhaps I could teach you how to sail a boat or fly an airplane, if we can get our hands on one or the other.
