Über mich
I studied languages and am working as a project manager in a translation agency in Cologne.
I love traveling and discovered this passion when I was 18 and spent a year working and traveling in Australia. Since then, lots of further travels have followed :D.
I like camping, hiking, outdoor activities, gardening, music, bouldering, yoga, reading and food.
If I have the time (and mind) for it, I like to think about how interesting/changing/challenging the times are in which we live right now. How and if they are adjustable and to what extent. Politically, globally, economically, environmentally, socially... and what we can do to act responsibly. Also thinking about further travels :).
I've heard various things from others about myself. Reaching from being outgoing, funny, self-reflected, super-friendly, self-dependent, free, adventurous, eloquent and intelligent to being impatient, cynical, nerdy, standoffish and stubborn. Guess it always depends on my mood and how comfortable I feel by the people surrounding me :D.
Oh, and a friend once told me that I have an incredibly (sometimes annoyingly) fast mind.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
Unfortunately, I can't offer a place to stay, as I am living in a shared flat and all our rooms are full + our couch in the living room is rather short. Sorry for that.
I'd still like to be a part in the Couchsurfing community, though and meet traveling people in meet ups. That's why I keep this profile.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I don't really have a favourite author but in general I like thrillers, crime and a bit of fantasy and comedy. One of my favourite childrens books is Momo by Michael Ende. Sometimes also literature which is a bit more demanding and may show me new perspectives or ways to think, for example Mindwise by Nicholas Epley. One book I recently read and which still impacts me in a surprisingly positive way is This is vegan propaganda by Ed Winters. IMHO definitely a worthy read.
Concerning TV-shows: I'm into La casa de papel, Breaking Bad, Scrubs, The IT Crowd, Better Call Saul, BoJack Horseman, Arcane, Tuca and Bertie, Archer, Gravity Falls, Futurama, Southpark ...
To mention movies, there are simply too many good ones to name them all.
I listen to a loooooot of music from various genres but in the past few years I've listened more and more to Progressive Metal and Post-rock. Here are some artists which I like: Arctic Monkeys, Placebo, Charlie Winston, Audioslave, Ludovico Einaudi, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Bloc Party, Pink Floyd, Chilly Gonzales, Broken Bells, The Black Keys, Bonobo, Sleepmakeswaves, Oh Hiroshima, And So I Watch You From Afar, If These Trees Could Talk, Leprous, Tides From Nebula, Haken, The Pineapple Thief, Riverside, Steven Wilson... the list continues ;) Here's what I listen to right now:
