Overview
About Me
For the last six years, I studied special needs education in beautiful Leipzig in Saxony. Now, after a wonderful journey through Argentina and Brasil, I will start working as a teacher in Gelsenkirchen in may. I just moved to Essen and I'm curious to explore the city and the region. As I don't know anybody here yet, i'd love to get to know people who can show me all the beautiful and interesting places around! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started Couchsurfing while traveling through South America this year because I liked the idea of getting to know people who live in the countries i visit. I don't think there is a better way to really get to know a country well. Now that I am back in germany, i'll be happy to welcome people who bring a bit of the wide world to my home (once I found a place to live ;) ).
Interests
I love being outside and prefer countryside to cities while traveling. When coming to a new place, the best way for me to explore it is to get into my hiking boots and just start walkin. Rock climbing is a big passion for me (even though i'm afraid i can't really claim being good at it ;). I also really like to learn languages and at the moment try to improve my spanish (and learn a bit of portuguese so i won't get lost in brasil).
What I Can Share with Hosts
A partner for hiking, climbing, cooking or a glass of wine or beer, some german-or-english-tandem-sessions, a glimpse on german culture, an open ear for all the stories they have to tell...
