Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Vera! I am a queer artist, a feminist, a private teacher and translator and also a volunteer of several human rights organisations.
I've been volunteering for "Side by Side" (Russian LGBTQ Movie Festival) for 9 years and really love it. I also support transgender people and volunteer in a Russian trans rights initiative, called "T-Action".
I love travelling and hope to visit as many places as possible. I lived in 4 different places: Norilsk (the Extreme North of Russia), Berdichev (small city in Ukraine), Irkutsk (Eastern Siberia) and I'm in Saint Petersburg now.
I love to draw, this is my meditation and therapy time.
I am kind of introverted person and at the same time I'm open to new experiences, people and knowledge. Comfortable and safe atmosphere is the most important thing for me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to explore the world, different cultures and people.
I think that spending time with local people can give you a true feeling of a place, time, atmosphere, specific things and cuisine.
I'd like to travel all over the world, try to find my own place and write a wonderful book!
You can check my open Instagram page Vera_Scovita to see more photos of me and my trips.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the best things I've ever done is my decision to start psychotherapy sessions (more than 4 years ago).
It was the start of exploring true myself, my feelings, self-boundaries, relationships with the other people. Understanding yourself helps a lot ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I think all people can teach one another new things, share love and unique ideas.
