Hey there, I'm Vera from Russia. But at the moment I'm living and studying in Northern Italy, in Turin. Actually I've been here already for 4 years. Before that i had lived in Sardinia for a while.

Now I'm starting to work as a travel agent and making group tours around the world. As a result, I do love to explore every corner of the city, secret places only for locals and survey everything. Is curiosity a good character trait? ahaha

I do like to make photos, I'm really good at that. And in general I am crazy about art, music, architecture, art history and the beauty that surrounds us.

And last but not least I'm a big fan of mountains, trekking, climbing, rafting, hiking for days and days. It's one of the reasons why I chose Turin

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Isn't it awesome when you can talk about a lot of things with a person you barely know? With a person from another country, another culture, with a different background, with a different worldoutlook. And then, of course, talking with a localis incomparable with any even the best guide ever what makes you feel the culture of the city, country far deeply... And also notice, pay attention to what a local has never noticed. In short, it's just a cool pastime that will never be forgotten.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rafting in Siberia for a whole week. And a 40 km hike along the bear dens (this hike ended late at night, so we walked without lanterns in a dense forest close to the bears and where the nearest village was at least 300 kilometers away)

Or winter fishing in Russia. With accompaniment of vodka and barbecue on ice and then go to the sauna and jumping into the snow (confirming photo is on insta ahaha)

AND I'm always ready to pack my backpack, buy a plane ticket whenever and be on the plane in 5 hours.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was in the national rowing team of Russia for 4 years. Soo, one day we can workout together ahahah. Or I can give you some advice about sports or diets. OR tell you several massage techniques, as far as I wanted to work as a massage therapist, but then for some reason I moved to Italy. And nothing ...my massage diploma is still in Russia

Or just give you some tips about spots where I have been, or about travels to Russia, and to teach you some phrases that will save you in non eng speaking country (like both Italy and russia) or at least that make locals smile
