ABOUT ME

Hallo, Hoi Hoi, G'day, Merhaba!

I am Vera, I am 25 years and I am German but I study in the Netherlands. At the moment I am doing my exchange semester in Turkey.
I am easy going and uncomplicated. I love to travel and explore the world but I think I dont have to mention that as this is a fact that all couchsurfers have in common :-)

Well, I would like to see new places, new people and get to know different cultures as this makes one think outside of the box.

Interests

I started travelling after senior high school and I decided to went to Australia for one year. This changed my life and my personality. If you once hit the road you are addicted. Therefore I went for my studies to the Netherlands for 2,5 years and after this I applied for one Erasmus semester in Izmir, Turkey. My semester is nearly finished and I have to fly back to Germany. But before that I want to travel! Yeah!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There were many moments that impressed me and changed my view of point. The people I met on my journey had a huge impact on it.

In Australia I stayed with a family and I helped them renovating their holiday house. They were so friendly right away without any boundaries. I was one of many backpackers but she trusted all the people she hosted. We could take her car etc. She never doubt that anyone could fool her. She believed in the good side of humans and this impressed me so much!
As well as I stayed at in Turkey at a flat with 5 young students and I was part of their little family from the first moment on. In Germany I sometimes have the feeling that people need a certain time to trust others and to warm up, so it was amazing to see that they accept you right away. I always see good things in people and these people make me believe in it even more.
