Hey everyone, I'm Summer. Yes, like the season. Although I think my name says a lot about my personality. To me, Summer represents light. It represents freedom, movement, and adventure. And these are words that I like to live by.

I was born and raised in New York, left for a few years to study in Miami, and came back to NY to be an elementary school teacher. I realized after a couple years that I need to be out in the world, developing myself as an artist and adventurer. So, in August, I quit my job after 5 years, and began living in a different way. Not making a lot of money, but living more simply. Now, I am creating so much more and my life feels much more fulfilled creatively than ever before.

My dream is to visit different countries and not just experience all that the tourists see, but to grow a deeper understanding of the people that live there. My most memorable travel experiences are always time spent with locals, wandering into their friends' or family's houses, and getting to know their lives in the places that are so new to me.
