About Me
Hmhm. Where to start?! ...
I'm a young, open-minded girl from the north of Germany which is why I feel very close to the sea, its smell and its calming effect on me. I grew up with two older brothers...always there to protect me ;-)
After I graduated, I didn't want to go to university directly, so I took a gap year which brought me to Australia! There, I took care of two beautiful little boys, got inspired by my host mum and started, after my travels through Australia, New Zealand and Thailand, to study psychology.
And again, after finishing my bachelor degree I decided to take some time off for widening the mind, getting to know other people, learning about their country, their culture, for singing, dancing and spending time with them.
This is where I am right now.
In general I'm very interested in other countries, other people, their culture ... It's always great to detect differences on the one hand and to recognize those things other countries have in common, on the other hand. Now that I'm going to Israel, I'm so exited for what I'm going to see, who I'm going to meet, what I'm going to learn. I want to listen to people's stories, spending time with them....getting inspired.
Apart from that I love music!! I played piano for 11years and had classic singing lessons. During university I sang in a choire... with friends or just for myself. From soul to jazz ... it doesn't really matter. Because for me, music opens the heart and frees you from thoughts, tensions, whatever - and it brings you together.
Also I love being creative - painting/ drawing and felting, that's what I like the most. (Especially birds (cranes, haha!)).
I'm not very good at staying at the same spot for a long time - I prefer being active & adventurous, to do sports (especially running and hiking)... so if anybody is up to a hiking tour or whatever and wants to share travel experience - here I am! I'd be happy to join you!
Finally and probably pretty much like everyone, I like going out and to go dancing... as soon as there is a nice spot with some nice music and a nice rhythm, that's perfect and you can find me on the dance floor ;-)
But then, I don't mind to do anything but not the way it was planned :D Sometimes you have the best nights and moments at a little spot, with a nice view, a bottle of wine and a good talk...
And finally, I need some moments only to myself. :-)
My philosophy... I think I'm still about to find that out.
But some of those principles that I have found for myself are:
be thankful for the sun.
be thankful for nature.
be thankful for what you got, for who you are.
listen.
don't walk the same way twice.
don't be fixed on a plan but be spontaneous - another door opens up. Always.
keep on laughing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, to be honest, I'm quite new here. I had this account for years but never really used it.
But then, during my travels in the past - especially in Spain and Italy - I met many people telling me about their experiences with couch surfing.
That's why I finally want to try it out. Of course I have some things in mind, what I want to do and see. But this time I'm primarily interested in the people so I'm gonna go with the flow... and take it how it comes.
If people want to show me around and take me to places I would've never gone by myself, I'm happy joining them. If they don't have time I'm thankful that I can stay at their place and independent enough to do my own stuff. I'm not complicated :)
Interests
As I said before... singing, listening or making music is one of my favorite things in life.
Further I feel very close to nature, so I'm interested in protecting it and being outside.
Apart from that: discovering new things, new countries, meeting people.
What I still want to learn, is:
Hebru und Spanisch
Tango and Salsa

Music, Movies, and Books
music: by far to much and to different to say what is my favorite... but I do love music with real instruments. Electro, goa trance or techno can be nice...especially for dancing.
But listening to real and especially life music, to someone playing the guitar, saxophone, violin, the drums cello or piano... that's the best
movies: I don't watch many movies to be honest... and if I do, I prefer those, that are not known very much.
One of my favorites and a popular one though, is: Some like it hot
The last movie I fully watched and liked was 'dancing arabs' ...
books: that's tough... 'Adams Erbe', a german book is one of my favorites.
But again, there are so many great books I've read and by far too many books I still want to read that I couldn't name them all.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
sososososooo much when I went traveling
looking at a sky full of stars, watching sunsets and sunrises...
But a perfect and very simple moment was in Italy, on an Island called 'Ischia'.
I was sitting on a stone wall, watching the sea, making me feel home and the sun go down. Next to me was a church with doors wide open and people where singing so loud that I could here them easily... and there on that stone wall I had a big I Margharita Pizza, typical Italian style with real basil leaves, and couldn't help grinning for hours.
