About Me
Hello there!
My name's Verena, I'd say I'm an open-minded and mostly outgoing person. Friends would probably also say I'm helpful, but definitely also chaotic, mostly because I prefer to let life surprise me rather than to plan everything in detail - which can be of advantage as well as of disadvantage^^ As you can see I'm in my mid thirties, feeling younger though, but not denying my age - and actually glad I belong to a generation that grew up without computer, smart phone, and only 4 channels on TV. With regards to education and profession, I have tried different things, and my current focus of interest is my new field of studies: Social Ecology ( a lot about analyzing society-nature-relationships, sustainability, good life for all etc.). Anything else you'd like to know? Just ask!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couchsurfing is a wonderful concept! Why am I here? Because there is not a single reason I can think of why I should not be here! Isn't it the most natural thing to host someone who needs a place to stay? People used to share one room with a large family, and now we're used to have so much space for ourselves...well, sure it's also great to have space and private sphere, but a lot of the social components of living together are lost. And on the other hand big hotels are being built to feed the greedy gobs of property sharks and to destroy our landscapes. It's just great to be able to travel without supporting mass tourism and at the same time to get to know ike-minded people.
