About Me

Hi ! My name is Verena, I´m 21 years old and from Dresden, which is also the city I´m living right now. I LOVE traveling, especially roadtrips into the unknown and hiking trips for several days, but also city trips, walking through streets and alleys without a map, finding all the hidden places and the forgotten people.
I´m really extroverted and I have no problems in getting to know people because I really like to talk and listen to your stories. I also love to help, I´m the one who stops for every hitchhiker and helps everyone, just because I like the feeling to make someone elses life a little bit better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like I said - I like to help people and I really wanna help you to enjoy my wonderful, beautiful and perfect hometown, Dresden.

Currently I don´t have enough room for hosting someone, which is a bummer, but maybe I´ll have a less confined place in the future.

Oh, and I also like the idea of having the opportunity to travel the world and always having a back-up plan, a place to sleep, and people to meet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music ! I wouldn´t say I live for music but music helps me to suvive and music is extremely helpful in making moments unforgettable. So I love all kind of music, especially 80´s & 90´s, Bluegrass&folk, some Rock and Punk stuff (All time low, royal republic, rise against, .... FESTIVAL SEASON IS COMING SOON! ), Dixieland Jazz and I got the hang of electronic music.

And books... I live for books, I live in books, I spend all the money I have left after travelling in books. Too many to count. But hey. You must be mad if you have come here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 17 my twinsister (yes, there are two of us) and me made a trip to the Lofotes, some islands in the north pacific a few miles away from the coast of Norway. We hiked all day, in this awesome mountainside (GO THERE) and camped at the most amazing places you can imagine. We hitchhiked there for the first time in our lifes, we lived out of our backpacks and we shared this calm, deep feeling you get when you´re almost alone for a few weeks.
So going there, technically not even allowed to travel alone, is one of the most amazing things I´ve ever done (remember, I´m still pretty young). And I´ll always be grateful that our parents agreed in letting us go there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach german (obviously), I still want to learn to speak french and spanish, and I can share my music, my books, my spirit & my stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

This city ! Most people only see the old, though beauiful, part of the city, but there are so many cool places to go beyond that, and, most important, cool people to meet.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask !
